Love Morris, Fictitious Valentine (revisited)

I wrote this song way back for a sweet trio called Like Winter Weather, we performed it live I think but somehow it was never recorded. A song I wrote while crushin’ on my husband 14 years ago, revisited. Added a new verse and attempted a rocking guitar at the request of our 4-year old. Happy heart day! #ValentinesDay #LoveSongs #newmusic

i’ll draw a valentine and send it to you
with hearts and plenty of postage

sealed with a kiss
a glue stick kiss
it will travel over air
it will travel over water just to make it
to you, across town

i’ll draw a valentine and send it to you
with words I can’t say out loud
drop it in the mailbox before i change my mind
i never would
i never would

that afternoon i saw a bird
sitting in the rain
she didn’t seem to mind

the weather brings it out
the weather brings it out
the weather brings love out in everything

it’s over ten years later
and i’m glad that i was brave
and listened to my heart

cause i am just so happy now
i really am so happy now
i’m just about as happy as can be
